A Caviar Facial That's Not at all Fishy
For a holiday indulgence to whet the appetite all year long, consider caviar facials at Spa Radiance in Cow Hollow. Caviar facials are increasingly popular, from Beverly Hills to Ontario to Jerusalem, and caviar is in products by La Prairie, Kerstian, Wunderkind and others.

Lest you think you'll end up with eggs on your face, the three-hour Grand Luxe Caviar Dreams Facial ($750) uses products by Biologique Recherche and includes deep-pore cleansing, microdermabrasion and LED light therapy. (Mini luxe treatment: $350.) The spa's Randy Schreck says caviar proteins and fats are good for the skin. Dermatologists say few things penetrate the epidermal barrier, but that products with alpha-omega M3 complexes (fish oils) might help topically. Clients with caviar - if not champagne - tastes range from Michelle Pfeiffer to socialite Kimberly Bakker.
